Creative Skies Kit for Journaling
Creative Skies Kit for Journaling
A complete field arts set to create beautiful daytime and nighttime skies in your journal.
Your special edition Creative Skies kit includes:
Several pages of black art paper hand-cut into 8” rounds and folded in half, so you can make a little night sky round journal
A length of black waxed linen thread to sew the paper into a journal if you like; or, simply paste single pages into your existing journal
One Signo gel pen (the best one out there!)
One white colored pencil
Key to the colors and their uses
Small tin, in which is nestled
A tiny spray bottle for refreshing paint in pans
Six sky-perfect watercolors in half-pans (partially filled). Daniel Smith colors are Quinacridone Rose; Pthalo Blue; French Ultramarine; Cobalt Blue; Indigo; Burnt Sienna.
White gouache by Holbein (permanent white, the best coverage, IMO) in a tiny lidded container (to keep it it moist and ready to go; I found that pan-dried gouache does not cover as well as fresh).
You can find free creative skies tutorials (both short and long form) on my Nature Journal Academy.
Limited edition! I won’t do these very often, it’s a lot of work putting it together. This is a chance to try out some fun techniques without having to spend $100 on a bunch of new paints!
